Why I'm Running

Why I'm Running

As the great-granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, I have always been passionate about protecting the rights of minorities and creating a just society with equal opportunities for all. I am running for office in order to be a voice for those who have not been historically heard and to be a force for positive change in my community. I am focused on protecting the civil rights of all classes, reducing income inequality, increasing funding for education, expanding healthcare access, ensuring a fair redistricting process, enacting gun control and criminal justice reform. I will be a passionate and educated progressive voice in Austin to advocate for these changes and will leverage my background in the business and finance world to make practical economic arguments to convince Republican colleagues to support proposed reforms. More importantly, I will be an engaged, transparent and accessible representative. My goal is to hear from my constituents as much as possible to best understand and serve their needs.
